Corea del Norte no está interesado en un diálogo con Estados Unidos similar al que sostuvo Irán para renunciar a sus capacidades nucleares, dijo el martes el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del país en un comunicado.

El comunicado dijo que el programa nuclear de Corea del Norte era una “disuasión esencial” contra la política exterior estadounidense, vista como hostil por Pyongyang.

“No es lógico comparar nuestra situación con el acuerdo nuclear iraní porque siempre estamos sometidos a las provocativas hostilidades militares de Estados Unidos, incluyendo ejercicios militares conjuntos y una amenaza nuclear grave”, dijo el comunicado, que fue difundido por medios de comunicación estatales, pero se le atribuyó a un portavoz del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.

“No tenemos ningún interés en absoluto en el diálogo para congelar unilateralmente o renunciar a nuestras armas nucleares”, agregó.

Estados Unidos y cinco potencias mundiales llegaron a un acuerdo histórico con Irán la semana pasada que limitará las capacidades nucleares de Irán a cambio de un alivio de las sanciones en contra de Teherán.
